Recreational Therapist Job Description

The position is part-time with the opportunity to develop into a full-time position if desired. Contract work (1099) with the ability to work remotely, create your own schedule, caseload size and areas served. Requires local travel, reliable transportation, auto insurance as well as professional liability insurance.

Job Description: The Recreation Therapist assists individuals with various developmental and physical disabilities live their best lives. This will be accomplished through home and community based therapeutic recreation activities. The Recreation Therapist will use the community and leisure experiences to help clients reach their therapeutic goals and outcomes outlined in the Person-Centered Individual Support Plan.

Qualifications:

1. Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist /Therapist certified by the national council for therapeutic recreation certification.

2. must have a valid license and reliable transportation.

3. CPR certified.

4. Liability insurance. 

Prefer applicants who have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
